STADIUM HISTORY
Owned by Greenville County Schools, Sirrine Stadium was built in 1936 by way of a joint project between Furman University and the City of Greenville. The project was spearheaded by Furman University alumni J.E. Sirrine. The construction of Sirrine Stadium began in 1935 with the first game being played in 1936 between Furman and Davidson College.
Alongside Greenville FC, Sirrine is also home to Greenville High School Red Raiders soccer and other athletic programs.
Greenville FC looks to make continued efforts to preserve and strengthen the history of Sirrine Stadium as an important piece of Greenville’s history.
Greenville FC played its inaugural 2018 season at Eugene Stone Stadium on the campus of Furman University. Greenville FC players and staff would like to take this time to thank Furman University for their support during its Inaugural Campaign.
